Peso Pluma (born Hassan Emilio Kabande Laija on June 15, 1999) is a Mexican singer. He started playing guitar in his teens and wrote songs inspired by regional Mexican music. Pluma first gained recognition for his albums “Ah y Qué?” and “Efectos Secundarios.”

His breakthrough came with “El Belicón” in 2022, reaching 8x Platinum Latin certification. The EP “Sembrando” and the hit “Siempre Pendientes” boosted his popularity and landed him on the Billboard Global 200.

Collaborations with Natanael Cano on tracks such as “AMG” and “PRC” gained popularity, particularly on TikTok, and charted on the Billboard Hot 100. His song “Ella Baila Sola” with Eslabon Armada broke records by reaching the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100, a first for regional Mexican music.
