Design

The Pixel 7 Pro follows a similar design and layout to the Pixel 7 Pro. Although, certain refinements mark the difference. Besides that, the curved sides are now more subtle, and the camera assembly on the back looks different.

Display: Pixel 7 Pro vs. Pixel 6 Pro

The glossy metal camera bar seamlessly blends into the frame giving it a more attractive look. The buttons are identical to the Pixel 6 Pro, but the power button and the volume button have been slightly moved lower which means you might not reuse your cases from the Pixel 6 Pro if you’re planning to upgrade.
The Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 6 Pro have similar body structures. They both have the same materials like the gorilla glass, the same glossy aluminum frame, the same IP68 rating, and almost the same dimension and weight.

Display

Google has made huge improvements on the Pixel 7 Pro in the quality display by making it 25% brighter than the Pixel 6 Pro. The brightness for outdoor use is much better and users can use their phones with ease under direct sunlight. Google Pixel 7 Pro features a 1000nits full-screen brightness and a 1500nits peak for a 5% lit-up area.

The HDR content is noticeably brighter and there are more vibrant colors on the Pixel 7 Pro. In videos, content now looks more details without leaving any quality behind. The Pixel also features the full HD plus toggle to reduce battery consumption. It is worth mentioning that DXOMARK rated the Pixel 7 Pro 3rd position in its global display ranking while the Pixel 6 Pro is in the 25th position.

Camera

Google Pixel 7 Pro comes with a few new camera features in comparison to the Google Pixel 6 Pro. It features the same 50MP main camera, but its ultra-wide is 21% wider. There is an increase in the telephoto from 4x to 5x and the Super Res Zoom from 20x to 30x.  There are other added features in the Image Signaling Processor (ISP) and Tensor G2’s AI models in photography processing.

Performance, Speakers, Battery

Tensor G2 in the Pixel 7 Pro performs similarly to the Tensor G1in the Pixel 6 Pro but is slightly faster and more efficient. The Pixel 7 Pro is also faster at downloading and uploading files.
The Pixel 7 Pro appears to be louder than the Pixel 6 Pro, but the treble is so high that it makes it uncomfortable to listen at maximum volume. Google Pixel 6 Pro seems more balanced and pleasing at maximum volume than the Pixel 7 Pro.  The Pixel 7 Pro comes with a 5000MAH battery, the same as the Pixel 6 Pro. However, the Tensor G2 is expected to be more efficient and deliver a longer battery life than the Pixel 6 Pro.

Google Pixel 7 Pro vs. Google Pixel 6 Pro: Conclusion

The Pixel 7 Pro features amazing features in the camera and software. In addition to the attractive display, build quality, and better connectivity. However, the Pixel 7 Pro is not as efficient as expected, and the difference in battery life is minor when compared with the Pixel 6 Pro.
