Happy Victoria Day!

What is the most popular thing to do to celebrate Victoria Day? In the past, there have been fireworks, camping, outdoor activities, and parades. Now that we have had a global pandemic hit, how are you going to celebrate? There are many options through technologies that we can celebrate together and still be a safe distance apart. Let’s go through these together.

Zoom

Zoom has been a great way to link people together no matter what platform you are using. It has many different uses whether it is for business meetings or social gatherings. If you are in a place you are uncomfortable with showing, they have cool filters that cancel out the background and only show your face. You do need to pay for different types of plans so depending on how much you want to spend, it can be an awesome way to connect.

Hangout

Hangout is a fun app that you can download that allows you to connect to more than one person at a time without paying for it. It will work on different platforms as well. This app has fun filters you can turn on and have going while you are talking to someone.

Facetime

Facetime is only for apple users. They have some fun things to use for the video chat like using an avatar that you create on your own. You can also look like 26 different animals, objects, and even the famous poop emoji. They are called a Memojis. You also have the ability to draw, use stickers, and have different filters to put on while you talk.

Facebook Messenger

Facebook has a way to chat when you go into the messenger section. It has a variety of options to make the chat fun to do. There are multiple activities you can play while you chat and celebrate. You can also enjoy playing with the fun filters, background, and lighting.

Houseparty

Houseparty is a fun way to get together with a group and play games while you chat. They have games such as UNO, Karaoke, Trivia, Pictionary, and more. You can add users with a button and lock a room so only the people you want to be there will be.

Whichever way you decide to celebrate, may it be a fun way to bring in the summer months. Stay safe, healthy, and if you need any help with your technology, we are here to help.
